TABC Agent: In Texas, many parents still believe it is permissible to turn around and allow minors to drink on their property as long as they stay on the property. That is just not true. In Texas we are trying to encourage "Don't be a Party to Underage Drinking." Know the law, know the liability and know what you can do to prevent underage drinking.
In Texas it's a class A misdemeanor to provide alcohol to minors. It's punishable of up to one year in jail and/or up to a $4000 fine and you could lose your license upon conviction or up to half a year.
